“Lyceum Dynamics executed the project with precision, speed, and strong coordination across all operational teams. Testing was completed on schedule with clear communication throughout the process.”

Lyceum Dynamics Executes Critical Load Bank Testing for USCGC STRATTON
Lyceum Dynamics executed a high-value load bank testing operation aboard the USCGC STRATTON (WMSL-752), a 418-foot National Security Cutter operated by the United States Coast Guard.
The project focused on verifying diesel generator performance under real-world load conditions within a compressed three-day operational timeline. Due to the mission-critical nature of the vessel, the operation required technical precision, secure coordination, and uninterrupted communication across all operational teams.
Scope of Work
Coordinated delivery and crane-assisted installation of a 2.6MW reactive load bank system
Executed multi-day generator testing through 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% load increments
Managed technical labor and rigging operations in partnership with Peterson Power Systems
Maintained secure federal facility access for subcontractors and heavy equipment
Delivered final engineering reports documenting operational performance metrics

Lyceum Dynamics’ Contribution
Lyceum Dynamics led the coordination and execution of the complete testing operation, ensuring all systems were deployed, monitored, and removed efficiently within the scheduled timeframe.
The team maintained direct communication with engineering officers and contracting representatives while overseeing generator testing procedures according to U.S. Coast Guard engineering protocols. Final reporting included output verification, voltage regulation, frequency stability, and thermal performance documentation.
The project was completed on time and under budget, with all generators confirmed operational within U.S. Coast Guard specifications.
Impact of the Project
The successful completion of the load bank testing operation strengthened operational readiness aboard the USCGC STRATTON while ensuring generator systems performed reliably under simulated real-world conditions.
The project reinforced the vessel’s ability to maintain mission-critical operations while demonstrating Lyceum Dynamics’ capability to execute highly coordinated technical projects within secure federal environments.
